Clean awnings two or three times a year to prevent hard to» remove buildup. Since the acid content of bird droppings can lade colors. clean them off as soon as possible. You can use a pressure sprayer
to clean away debris, apply cleaner. and rinse the awning, but it may tear fabric or dent vinyl. Take care to point the nozzle away from the awning when you first pull the trigger so you can adjust the spray to the desired level.
Remember that bleach can cause materials to change colors, while other cleaning products can strip protective plastic coating and inflict other damage. Follow the manufacturer‘s instructions for the best cleaners to use and do your own safety test by first applying the cleaning agent you‘re using in an area of the awning that is hidden from View.
