How to Clean Ceilings

If you use a stepladder when cleaning your ceilings, make sure it is sturdy and that you can stand on it safely while reaching above your head. Dust the surface and clear away cobwebs with a long-handled brush or dust mop or the floor-dusting attachment of your vacuum cleaner. You can also tie a
clean towel over a broom, securing it with a rubber band. it’s very difficult to clean a painted ceiling without streaking it or leaving dirty patches. it needed, use an all-purpose cleaner or a solution of 2 tablespoons of TSP (trisodium phosphate) and 1 gallon of water. Use a sponge to gently wipe the dirty area with the cleaner or cleaning solution, and another one to rinse with warm water. Work carefully to avoid damaging the paint. You can’t remove the yellow stains that water leaks leave. Instead, apply a special primer sealer, which will cover the stain thoroughly and prevent it from bleeding through. Once the sealer dries, paint the area to match the rest of the ceiling.
